RXS Set of Sedimentary Rocks
Only 5% of the Earth's crust is sedimentary rocks. The rocks were originally igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks that weathered forming new rocks that cover 75% of the Earth's surface.
The set of rocks below were originally older rocks that were subjected to increasing heat and pressure the caused the minerals in the rocks to recrystallize.

As students pick up and look at their rocks it helps them to remember differences and similarities of rocks. When walking near a stream, the ocean, or hillsides students will easily find fascinating rocks they can identify. It is a fun and inexpensive hobby to collect rocks for families.

Myrna taught Earth Science in public schools for a number of years. She introduced the topic of each science lesson at the beginning of the class. The video lessons are similar to the introductions she did in her classrooms. Each introduction is about 10 to 12 minutes long.
